I was shocked to find out that every twenty-one minutes a child is diagnosed with autism. We hope that our campaign will help raise awareness and much needed funding for autism services, research and treatment.”

Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD refers to a group of complex neurodevelopment disorders that are characterized by a variety of behavioral and social difficulties. Symptoms of ASD are present in early childhood and can severely affect daily functioning. ASD can be found in every racial and ethnic group and across all socioeconomic levels. However, boys are four and a half times more likely to be affected than girls. The CDC estimates that 1 in every 68 children have been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the U.S.
